Interview with an alumnus

What’s your name?
Nina Siebeking.

How old are you?
25 years.

What are you doing now?
I am working at EDEKA as a businesswoman engaged in wholesale and export trades.

When did you visit this school and which kind of school did you attend here?

I attended the commercial college from 1998 to 2000.

What did you like here very much?
I liked the bakery (next to the school).

What didn’t you like about the school?

The teachers, especially Mr Neumann.

What subjects did you like best?
Religious education and business ethics.

What subjects didn’t you like?

German and accountancy.

Which teachers did you like?
Mr Rittelmeyer, Ms Rittinghaust, Mr Brandhorst and Mr Sprenger.

Did you learn Spanish?
No.

Have you ever been to Spain?
Yes, on Mallorca.

What school system would you prefer, the German or the Spanish?
The Spanish, you have more time to sleep.

How did you prepare yourself for the exams?
Not at all, but I passed the exams anyway. : )

What was emphasised more, the verbal or the written performance?
That was different in every subject, in religious education the verbal performance was emphasised more and in maths the written performance was more important.

Did you have to do many presentations?
No.

What would you change about the school?

I would redesign it more colourful and comfortable.

Now that your school time is over, would you say, that the commercial college has helped you?

No.
